New Zealand's Law Commission has begun a second round of consultation for its review of the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act 1988 and other laws addressing decision-making for adults with impaired abilities. The review focuses on welfare guardians, property managers, and enduring powers of attorney. The commission aims to determine if changes are needed to existing arrangements, improve decision-making support and safeguards, and present a final report by early 2025.
