Daniel Vale, previously jailed for setting fire to John Key's electorate office, admits to causing $650k damage by torching the historical Huntly Railway Building in May 2023. CCTV footage captured Vale entering the site, and fire appliances battled the blaze. Before the fire, the Waikato District Council moved the building to the Glasgow St site for restoration. Vale pleaded guilty to arson in court and was granted bail.
