Malaysia's Agriculture and Food Security Ministry confirmed that dumped foodstuffs in Kuala Krau, Temerloh, Pahang were unfit for human consumption. Former Kuala Krau MP, Datuk Seri Ismail Mohamed Said, admitted responsibility for the dumping, stating that the items were part of stockpiles intended to meet public demand during his tenure as lawmaker. He expressed regret and apologized for his oversight in disposing of the items.
