Gunmen killed Taraba monarch Alhaji Abdulmutalib Jankada inside his palace in Sansani chiefdom, Gassol local government area of Taraba state. The traditional ruler was shot dead on Thursday evening by assailants who stormed the community on motorcycles, targeting the palace. The Taraba State Government has assured adequate security during the Nwonyo Fishing and Cultural Festival, held in the Ibbi Local Government Area of the state.
