Ghana wins arbitration location for dispute with Cassius Mining; proceedings to occur in Ghana instead of London.

Ghana has won a preliminary ruling in its ongoing international arbitration dispute with Cassius Mining Company Limited. The International Arbitration Tribunal has determined that the arbitration proceedings will take place in Ghana instead of London, UK. Cassius Mining had sought compensation of around $300m following a claim of breaches of contract and Ghana's mining laws when the government failed to extend the company's prospecting licence agreement.
