Dutch Finance Minister Steven van Weyenberg is confident that chip-maker ASML, a key Dutch company, will remain in the Netherlands despite earlier threats to move operations abroad. ASML had expressed concerns over Dutch plans to scale back tax breaks for high-skilled migrants and limit the number of foreigners attending Dutch universities. However, the company has ruled out a complete departure and van Weyenberg is optimistic that ASML will stay within the Netherlands.
