China's breeding sow population rose for nine consecutive months, reaching 39.92 million in March, with pig prices increasing 5.3% year-on-year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. The output of pork, beef, mutton, poultry, and eggs showed year-on-year growth in Q1, and vegetable and fruit supplies remained stable. China's consumer price index edged up 0.1% year-on-year in March.
