CalMac ferry MV Glen Sannox delivery delayed 2 months due to dual fuel propulsion system issues.
The delivery of the long-delayed CalMac ferry MV Glen Sannox has been pushed back again by two months due to issues with its dual fuel propulsion system. New Ferguson chief executive, John Petticrew, attributes the delay to the complexity and difficulty of installation, as well as a lack of available expert knowledge and qualified resources in the UK around LNG systems. The vessel is now expected to be handed over to Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd by 31 July.
