Benin Traditional Council objects to planned turban ceremony in Edo State, claiming it violates Benin Tradition and Customary Law.
The Benin Traditional Council (BTC) has objected to a planned turban ceremony in Edo State, where Alhaji Danjuma Garba Binkola is to be installed as "Garkuwan Hausawan Benin" by Alhaji Adamu Isah Adamu. The BTC, represented by the Iyase of Benin Kingdom, Chief Sam Igbe, claims the event violates Benin Tradition and Customary Law applicable to chieftaincy matters and must not be allowed to proceed.
