35-year-old technician, Chiok Wai Loong, pleaded not guilty in Sessions Court to posting offensive remarks on social media regarding the sale of socks with the word "Allah." Earlier, the High Court quashed his conviction and six-month jail sentence over the initial charge, stating that the sessions court did not observe proper practice when recording his guilty plea. Justice Ahmad Bache ordered Chiok to be charged again in another Sessions Court.
