64-year-old Gary Preston, who waged a terror campaign in 2013 by sending 42 envelopes containing white powder and threatening messages to schools, businesses, and shopping centres, was sentenced to over four years in prison. The substance in the letters was later found to be talcum powder. Preston also faced a separate sentence for a 1988 sexual assault, totaling nine and a half years in prison.
