19th-century Jamaican Giant Galliwasp specimen to be repatriated from Glasgow to Jamaica as part of reparatory justice.

19th century lizard specimen, a Jamaican Giant Galliwasp, presumed extinct, is set to be returned to Jamaica from the University of Glasgow as a part of reparatory justice moves, following a 2019 MoU between the University of the West Indies and University of Glasgow. The joint team will travel to Glasgow to retrieve the specimen, marking the first repatriation of a natural history specimen in the Caribbean.
