14th-century gargoyle imp discovered in Lincoln home, linked to historical drainage system.

Couple Tracy and Rory Vorster discovered a 14th-century gargoyle imp hidden under a wooden panel in their Grade-I listed, 700-year-old home in Lincoln, UK. The stone-carved imp, found beneath a bathroom toilet, is believed to be part of an historical drainage system. Experts from Lincoln Cathedral, which owns the home, suggest that the gargoyle may have been a "grotesque mask which forms the drain" and the Vorsters plan to upkeep the historical find.
