Tesla plans to cut 285 jobs, or 14% of its workforce, at its factory in Buffalo, New York, according to a filing with the state Labor Department. The layoffs, disclosed in a WARN notice, are part of Tesla's restructuring plan, announced by CEO Elon Musk, to reduce its global headcount by more than 10%. The Buffalo facility focuses on the company's Solar Roof product and Supercharger components, and the layoffs will not close the factory.
