Tata Motors plans to manufacture luxury Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) cars at a $1 billion new plant in Tamil Nadu, India, according to two anonymous sources. In March, Tata Motors announced an investment in a new Tamil Nadu plant without specifying the models to be produced. The company, which acquired JLR in 2008, has not commented on the plant's details.
