The first girder for the world's largest wildlife crossing has been installed over the Ventura (101) Freeway near Agoura Hills, CA. When completed, the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing will span 210 feet over 10 lanes of highway and pavement, providing mountain lions and other wildlife with a safe passage across the busy freeway. This $90 million project funded through state and private agencies, along with individual contributions, aims to connect fragmented habitats and protect species from isolation and road-related deaths.
