1982's Yars' Revenge franchise is revived as Yars Rising, a Metroidvania-style game, developed by WayForward and coming to consoles and PC in late 2024.
Classic Atari franchise Yars is making a comeback with Yars Rising, a modern Metroidvania title inspired by the 1982 original Yars' Revenge. Developed by WayForward, the game features a new storyline with hacker Emi Kimura infiltrating Qotech Corporation in a sci-fi mystery adventure. Yars Rising will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC in late 2024.
