Ontario's Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has charged a Peel police officer, Acting Sgt. Jonathan Kreis, with dangerous driving causing bodily harm for an incident last August. Kreis's police SUV collided with a 23-year-old driver at an intersection, leaving her seriously injured. The matter is before the courts, and the accused officer is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on May 15.
