Ontario and Quebec gas prices rise by 14 cents per litre on April 18 due to summer fuel switch.

Ontario and Quebec gas prices are predicted to rise by 14 cents per litre on April 18 due to the switch from winter to summer fuel. This increase will push gas prices in Ontario to their highest level since August 2022, at approximately $1.79 per litre. The more expensive summer blend gasoline, combined with a carbon tax increase and higher oil prices, is causing the cost of gas to stay elevated this spring and summer.
