Japan's consumer inflation eased more than expected in March, with the core CPI rising 2.6% year-on-year, down from February's 2.8% increase. The "core-core" index, which excludes both fresh food and energy costs, also slowed to 2.9% after increasing 3.2% in February, marking the first time it fell below 3% since November 2022. The Bank of Japan (BOJ) is expected to revise its price forecasts during its upcoming policy board meeting.
