IMF advises Asian central banks to focus on domestic inflation, not US Fed actions.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) cautioned Asian central banks against prioritizing US Federal Reserve actions when setting their own policy paths. Krishna Srinivasan, the fund's Asia Pacific director, said that Asian central banks should focus on domestic inflation and avoid making their policy decisions overly dependent on anticipated moves by the Fed. Following the Fed too closely could undermine price stability in their own countries, he added.
