Biden administration approves $6.1B for Micron Technology.

The Biden administration has agreed to provide $6.1 billion in government support to Micron Technology for building advanced memory computer chip factories in New York and Idaho. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer personally courted Micron to build the chip plants, which will be the largest in America. The investment will lead to 9,000 direct jobs and 40,000 construction jobs, and is a part of the administration's efforts to bring semiconductor production back to the U.S.
