Bharti Airtel and Dialog Axiata are set to merge their Sri Lanka operations in a deal approved by the country's Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRCSL). Dialog will acquire 100% of Airtel Lanka's shares and issue ordinary voting shares to Bharti Airtel, equating to 10.355% of Dialog's total issued shares in a share swap. The combined entity aims to expand services and strengthen its presence in the Sri Lankan telecom market, providing customers with a wide range of innovative and affordable communication solutions.
