The BC government allocates $300M to help TransLink, Metro Vancouver's transit provider, purchase more buses, aiming to reduce overcrowding and wait times throughout the region. The new capital funding will go towards buying buses for future services, while TransLink will use remaining funds from the previous $479M for immediate improvements, such as boosting service frequency, extending hours of operation, and adding late-evening HandyDART services.
