Zee Entertainment withdraws merger application against Sony at NCLT, pursuing claims in Singapore arbitration.
Zee Entertainment Enterprises has withdrawn its merger implementation application against Sony at the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), allowing it to pursue claims against Sony in ongoing arbitration proceedings in Singapore. The $10bn merger deal was terminated by Sony India in January, citing breaches in the terms of the agreement. Zee will continue to seek a $90m termination fee from Sony.
