103-year-old World War II Indian Air Force pilot Dalip Singh Majithia, known as 'Maji', passed away in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand.
Veteran Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot Dalip Singh Majithia, who joined the force during World War II and logged more than 1,100 flying hours, has died at the age of 103 in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand. Majithia, who was affectionately called 'Maji' by his fellow air warriors, flew various aircraft, including Hurricanes and Spitfires, and was the flight commander for the legendary No. 4 Squadron, 'The Fighting Oorials', from 1942 to 1943.
