Former Pakistan leg-spinner Mushtaq Ahmed, a World Cup winner, has been appointed as Bangladesh's spin bowling coach by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). Ahmed, 53, who has previously coached England, West Indies, and Pakistan, will join the team ahead of the T20 series against Zimbabwe and work with the Bangladesh team until the end of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and the USA. Ahmed expressed excitement and honor in joining the Bangladesh cricket team.
