37-year-old former Lexington County deputy, Lorna Shay Elders, was charged with harassment, two counts of improper examination of private records, and two counts of misconduct in office. She allegedly used her access to DMV records to harass someone, including showing up to their residence uninvited, running license plate information of guests through the DMV database, and having guests' cars towed. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division announced the charges on April 16.
