Tesco's Southville, Bristol store has introduced a security measure using CCTV to check customers before allowing them to enter, due to rising shoplifting incidents. The automatic doors remain closed until staff can view customers on CCTV to identify suspected thieves, particularly during times with no security guards present. The store has also removed baskets from the entrance to prevent theft.
