San Antonio's Animal Care Services (ACS) has received a $28.5 million budget increase aimed at improving response rates, dangerous dog owner compliance, and spay/neuter clinics. Despite a 76% increase in dangerous dog compliance and a response rate of 52%, the public safety committee has requested more immediate action. ACS plans to have 12 new officers graduating next month to address visibility concerns.
