A tornado watch is in effect for western Pennsylvania, including Pittsburgh, until midnight due to strong thunderstorms.

A tornado watch is in effect for Pittsburgh and much of western Pennsylvania until midnight, as a line of strong thunderstorms is expected to move through the area Wednesday night. The National Weather Service issued the watch for Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Greene, Lawrence, Mercer, and Washington counties, warning of possible tornadoes, gusts of up to 70 mph, and ping pong-sized hail.
