Norwegian oil company Vår Energi has made an oil discovery in the Ringhorne Nord area in the North Sea, estimated to hold 13-23 million barrels of recoverable oil equivalent. This is the first exploration well in license 956, operated by Vår Energi with partners Aker BP, Sval Energi, and Harbour Energy. The discovery could be tied back to existing infrastructure and supports further development of the Balder area as a long-term production hub in the North Sea.
