22 Mar: UK's FTSE 100 expected to open flat after a 1.8% drop due to rising Middle East tensions, lower interest rate cut expectations, and higher-than-expected UK inflation in March.

UK's FTSE 100 expected to open flat following a 1.8% drop on 22 Mar due to rising Middle East tensions, diminishing UK & US interest rate cut expectations, and higher than expected UK inflation in March. UK inflation rate eased less than anticipated in March to 3.2% from 3.4% in February, with food price growth slowing, moving closer to the Bank of England's 2% target. The next BoE interest rate decision is on 9 May.
