Manitoba's Advocate for Children and Youth reports a rise in youth addiction cases, specifically involving girls and Indigenous youth, and calls for a youth-focused addictions strategy.

Manitoba's Advocate for Children and Youth, Sherry Gott, has reported a significant increase in youth addiction cases, from 3% in 2018-2019 to 22% in 2022-2023.
