Research firm Gartner predicts a 13.2% increase in Indian IT spending to $138.9bn in 2024, following a meagre 1.4% growth in 2023. The global IT spending increase is expected to reach 8% in 2024, totalling $5.06tn, up from a previous forecast of 6.8% growth. This growth is attributed to revised communication services sector spending, which has increased from 2.3% to 4.3%, and the emerging investment in generative AI.
