EPFO increases 68J claim eligibility limit for medical treatment withdrawal from ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh.
The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has increased the eligibility limit of 68J claims for withdrawal from ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh for medical treatment purposes. The pension fund body announced this change via a circular on April 16 and updated the application software on April 10, 2024. The advance from the Employees' provident fund (EPF) account can be claimed for medical treatment of the subscriber or their family members, subject to the new ₹1 lakh limit.
