Celebrity seal Emerson has returned to Victoria, British Columbia, after being relocated by fisheries officers to safer shores up north. Despite the efforts, Emerson has been swimming back at an astonishing 34 kilometers per day, thwarting relocation attempts. The relocation was prompted by several reports of harassment, including a child encouraged to touch the seal's nose in a roped-off area.
