Actress Mariska Hargitay, known for her role as Captain Olivia Benson in "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," was mistaken for a real police officer by a lost child while filming an episode in New York City. The young girl approached Hargitay to ask for assistance in finding her mother, who she had been separated from at a playground. Hargitay paused production for 20 minutes to help the child reunite with her mother.
