Indian Coast Guard apprehended a fishing boat carrying over Rs 11 lakh in unauthorized currency, suspected to be linked to diesel smuggling, off Mumbai coast. The operation was based on a tip-off from Customs and involved a search by two Fast Patrol Vessels and one Interceptor Boat. The boat and its five crew members were found 83 NM northwest of Mumbai, and investigations are ongoing to trace the linkages and take further legal actions.
