34-year-old Ryan Desmond Connolly sparked a six-hour bomb stand-off in Ballymena, breaking windows at his address and holding a piece of glass to his throat. Connolly, who had a previous incident in May last year, admitted to communicating false information about a bomb and causing criminal damages to a Housing Executive property in early January. He was sentenced to eight months in jail at Antrim Magistrates Court.
