32-year-old Ben Larry died from multi-organ failure after getting a tattoo in an unregistered garden shed studio, leading to an infection in his right leg. Tattooist Tony James Learmount was found guilty of operating in the unregistered premises, fined £1,000, and ordered to pay additional charges. Middlesbrough Council had previously banned Learmount from trading to protect public health.
