Wisconsin business lobby group Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) has filed a lawsuit with the state Supreme Court, asking it to strike down Democratic Governor Tony Evers' use of a partial veto to extend school funding for 400 years. The lawsuit argues that Evers' veto, which increased how much revenue K-12 public schools could raise per student by $325 a year until 2425, exceeded his veto authority and was unconstitutional. The Wisconsin Supreme Court, currently controlled by liberals, must decide whether to hear the case before it goes through lower courts.
