Wegmans plans a 110,000 sq ft store in Charlotte's Ballantyne district by Q3 2026, its first in the city.
Wegmans, a popular grocery store chain in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic, announced plans for its first Charlotte location in Ballantyne. The store will be approximately 110,000 square feet, three times the size of the average traditional supermarket, and is set to open by the third quarter of 2026. Wegmans has been gradually expanding southward, with several locations in and around Raleigh.
