The University of Surrey leads the Massdrive project, funded by Innovate UK, to develop certification methods for self-driving vehicles. Following the UK government's plans from November, which introduce a new law for "automatic" driving requiring safety tests, Massdrive aims to ensure trustworthy AI in self-driving cars and collaborates with industry professionals, scientists, regulators, and the public.
