UK discount retailer B&M plans to open 45 new stores, following an 8.5% sales increase to £4.4bn, and expects annual profits to reach £629m.
B&M, the UK discount retailer, plans to open at least 45 new stores across the country over the next two years, following an 8.5% increase in sales to £4.4 billion. The company has already opened a number of new stores in former Wilko sites and these stores are performing ahead of expectations. B&M expects its annual profits to be at the top-end of its previous guidance, with adjusted earnings predicted to reach £629 million, nearly a tenth higher than the previous year.
