Gonzaga women's basketball stars Brynna Maxwell and Kaylynne Truong were selected in the WNBA draft, 13th and 21st overall picks by Chicago Sky and Washington Mystics respectively. Both players helped lead Gonzaga to a 32-4 record and a Sweet 16 appearance. Virginia Tech's Elizabeth Kitley was drafted 24th by the Las Vegas Aces, despite being injured and expected to miss the WNBA season due to a torn ACL.
