ISKCON believes a 70-storey skyscraper Krishna temple in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh could boost Indian tourism. The Vrindavan Heritage Tower, costing $80 million and standing 210 meters tall, would be a major display of Indian culture, according to Chanchalapathi Dasa, vice chairman and co-mentor of the Global Hare Krishna Movement. The temple, under construction, is expected to stimulate tourism in India and bolster the local economy.
