Shang-Chi star Simu Liu confirmed on Twitter that a sequel to the 2021 Marvel film is in development, reassuring fans who had expressed concern over its delay. The actor, who played the lead role in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, stated that the sequel is "still happening." The film's director, Destin Daniel Cretton, has confirmed his return to write and direct the sequel.
