The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) found no reasonable grounds to believe the officer committed a criminal offence. The incident occurred on Dec 16 when the officer fired at the driver of a stolen Hyundai Elantra who attempted to flee, striking an officer and smashing into a police vehicle.
