New Zealand Customs Service has signed a trade cooperation arrangement with Singapore's Customs and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA). The agreement, signed on April 12, 2024, sets out a framework for developing and strengthening practical cooperation on trade and the use of emerging technology. It includes exploring the use of TradeTrust, a trade tool by IMDA that utilises blockchain technology to digitalise border processes, speed up trade, and reduce costs and fraud risks.
